Here is a lovely poem from Chyme12 that I have borrowed for this image. Be sure to check out his gallery! [link]
A sea, like glass before us lay, The sun, a golden aurora, With silken sails to catch the sky Sailed forth the light explorer.
Crafted by wizards and elves of yore she sailed the astral dimension on board were those, made pure in heart the children of ascension.
Now rescued were those sons of men from a world of fears and woe to leave this planet far behind for it is time for us to go, to go it is time for us to go.
The golden wheel was turned on course as the captain sang the songs of Noe, and in the twinkle of His eye He sang, it is time to go, to go He sang, it is time to go!
Casting off all worldly ties we disappeared from view, we are making bound for paradise don't you wish you were coming too, my friends don't you wish you were coming too?
Thank you in advance to my Watchers and to others, that are kind enough to comment on this painting or add it to their collections.
I love this picture. It makes me think. I always think when I see stuff like this. Were did they go? Where are they going now? What are they going to see when they get there. *sighs* I've alwayswanted to go out on a ship like that.
