Elephants

First there was magic.
And when we ripped the universe apart
strand by strand
the flesh folds of sky told
nothing but old
fabric lies.
And with or without or within
the blue torn strips of life and dust spoke gently,
leaving elephants to roam the skies.



Acrylic on Deep Edge Canvas 36x16 inches

I was trying to paint my version of a whole day with this image, night, sunrise, day and sunset. When I woke up this morning, I had the idea of putting elephants into it!

On searching dA, I came across the above poem by [link] and really loved it and thought it suited the painting well.

WOW!! I absolutely love the fact that the moon and sun are both up and how the sky is sooo bright and beautiful and the trees and Elephants are dark. I also love that there are stars in the sky! Perfection!!!!!!! :+favlove:
